GOOD FRIDAY
Passage: John 19:30 - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
INTRODUCTION:
Today is Good Friday. Why is it called Good Friday? Why should someone's death be considered good? Many people suffered for no reason, but Jesus suffered for something greater.
Brethren, all the suffering you are going through is for a purpose and it will surely come to pass. Just believe in Jesus and stay under Him.
As today commemorates what God has done on the cross through our Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus said "It is finished". It means:
1. The sufferings and agonies in redeeming man are over.
2. The work long contemplated, long promised, long expected by prophets and saints, is done.
3. The toils in the ministry, the persecutions and mockeries, and the pangs of the garden and the cross, are ended, and man is redeemed.
4. The salvation process of man was over (our redemption was over). What a wonderful declaration. How comforting to us!
LESSON:
Beloved, let us have the courage that it is finished.
Let us pray.
I pray that your long-awaited expectations and promises will come to pass in the name of Jesus. May your heart desires be met by the end of this Easter, so that a year from now, you'll share your testimony with family and friends in the name of Jesus I declare it done, AMEN.
Wishing you a Glorious Easter.
