THE ROAD TO EMMAUS.
INTRODUCTION:
The traditional site of the biblical Emmaus is identified as the former Arab village of Imwas (or `Amwas), located near the Latrun junction in the Ayalon Valley, about 30km west of Jerusalem. It was known as Nicopolis in classical times and is currently situated within Canada Park.
Two disciples were on the road to Emmaus, hearts heavy with grief, when Jesus joined them. This story's a powerful lesson on recognizing Jesus in unexpected ways.

Luke 24:13-35
3. MEANING:
The story describes how Jesus revealed himself to two disciples on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection, using scripture and the breaking of bread.
