Johnny McCarthy: A Coal Miner’s Son, is Dwight Norris’ third novel. He is also the author of poetry, short stories, as well as fiction and nonfiction articles. Norris lives in the California region known as the high desert, and is president of the California Writer’s Club, High Desert Branch.
He discovered and spearheaded the publication of an original memoir of Jack London (Jack London in Boyhood Adventures), and was on the leadership team in the club’s Dorothy C. Blakely Memoir Project, which resulted in an anthology written by local high school students.
